The Academy for Canoe Development began in 2008; it is to date the only club in South Africa that’s main focus is on sprints and flat water kayaking.
The Academy consists of a development program whereby young disadvantaged children are given the opportunity to better their lives through sport and extra academic assistance which is offered at the Academy. The Academy also has a high performance program which involves many elite athletes training at an international level.
It is about 40 minute’s drive from Oliver Tambo International airport and 15 minute’s drive from Pretoria and the nearest big shopping mall is 10 minutes away.
The Academy would like to extend its facilities and training venue to other teams and countries. We would like to engage in a relationship whereby we can work together to produce athletes of a high standard, coach techniques and benefit from other countries experience.
